Time Arguement for /shutup
Too many admins mute someone then forget to unmute later.
add a time arguement like jail
/jail *player* time
same thing
/shutup *player* time
then people who get muted on various servers won't have to wait for an admin to remember them or answer pm spam, also informs the player of how much time is remaining on their mute.

/ignore works infinitely better than /shutup
Also, shutup needs to block /tells to anyone who isn't an admin.
Not really (about shutup @ tell). Because that's why there's /ignore. Like said before, shutup is designed to shut someone who's annoying the entire server or a big porition of it. So private messages only count as one person, and can be blocked with /ignore
The /tell part is more for anti-advertising than anything else.

i was giving your server more of a chance the past few days, not trolling or causing any trouble at all, and i get banned
this isn't surprising though because i have heard in the past that you abuse frequently
i really don't care that i'm banned from your server since it isn't really different than FG or BOSS which i could play at if i wanted to, all i wanted to know was WHY i was banned, as there didn't seem to be a reason

it's not like i mindlessly flamed your server; i gave my reasons, there is no crime in having, or voicing, an opinion
but if there is on your server, you should really post it in the server and forum rules, here, i'll write up the rule for you based on what you did to me:
If you do not like the server, clan, or any of the players, you will be permanently banned from both the forums and server.
This applies to disliking said things on completely separate forums and in private xfire chats.

Euc, you should play nice, and think about what Spre (and later I) said to Maul: It's not what you say, it's how you say it.
Siebe, banning isn't the answer here. It may be for someone who causes general mayhem and pisses EVERYONE off, but otherwise, don't do it. Remember this: Admin commands in an argument are always bad news, even if you have a legitimate reason to use them. (I learned that last part the hard way) It is better to win with words, and save admin for when you really need it.
crazy, i tried asking politely why i was banned, i even made a nice little topic on their forums
it was deleted within 30 seconds and i was banned with the reason: "umad?"
i know arguing doesnt help lugormod, but neither does banning people for no good reason in the first place
Supported, in fact, it should be required to set timelimit. When a spammer shows up, you want to /shutup and then after explaining the rules you must /shutup... its anoying, but it's also mean if you don't. So
/shutup 1, shutup for 1 minute
/shutup 0, shutup for 0 minute (unmute)
if people want seconds, then make it seconds, this will be good for lazy people as well.

well, thats beside the point, ignore is for one person being annoyed by another, shutup is for one person annoying the whole server or a good portion of it.
