Merc with grenades + respawn
Actually, the mercs get their grenades at level 2 or 3 of weapons. Those are 10 deadly grenades that are easily spammeable. That's not something bad, knowing that the mercs can have those grenades and a blaster at the same time, but the wrong point is that they kill themselves to spawn with more grenades! They just respawn and start killing until they run out of grenades again, and repeat the above.
I suggest giving 2 grenades to the mercenarys, and only giving them more if they level up their Ammo Hold skill. 1.6 grenades every 1 skill level, so at least they will need more points spent to actually do something like that, and not just purchasing a cheap weapons 2 or 3 skill.
Another way to solve this could be changing how /weapons work, and allowing to purchase more grenades with your points, so making yourself grenade-only user and not having any other weapons, tho blocking the other type of high damage weapons (IE flechette/repeater)
I hope I wrote the suggestion well, because I don't speak English as my main language. So if anyone have questions or don't understand it, I could try explain it with other words.

not a bad idea concept, refined could be good, but doubt it will go anywhere since phred kinda said he quit cept for the tidal people.

Part of the skill system redesign was to enable this to be done. Distributing ammo between weapons is planned, probably backed by the concept of weighing the merc down.

I still hope he will take a look at the website and read this. I'll keep posting bug reports and some feature request about gameplay, instead of admin related stuff, so if Robo read this he can focus more on gameplay side of the game to tweak it or fix if something is broken.
