Force Resistance
a Request from the Mod Ideas thread on NoX a few players/admins were involved. (Croft Shodan Johney Salvatore)
Readd force resistance to the merc so they aren't pushed around 24/7.

better idea: make high level martial arts block pushes/pulls when crouched
euclid's idea is awesome.
i was just trying to make an existing skill actually useful instead of adding a whole new one :p
well i think part of the reason it was removed was because it overpowered mercs, having to crouch balances it out nicely
what about
Force Effectivenss = Force - Force Protection
Force Protection = F_y(Ysalimiri Skill Value) - F_m(Martial Arts Value)
And arrange it so that having max value for both skills will produce Force protection that is very close (if not equal) to the max possible Force.
so it depends on both ysalimiri and martial arts, F_y and F_m is some constant factor for the server.
Crouching can also be included for this, but I also didn't like that, then it would just be like a quick meditate, and there are too many players are anti-meditate.

Force resistance was never removed, and tecnically was never added. At one point I had renamed "strength" into "force resistance", since the only thing strength does is make a merc less likely to be knocked down by push/pull. I had planned to add more abilities to that, but never did.
The idea of ysalamiri is being redesigned, and will cover both anti-force and resistance. Look for a news post on this topic eventually.

not as fond of that idea
I think that could be smth cool, but mercs should get a amount of resistance either way.
I mean go on a server and even level 1 pull/push people can rape a merc with it.
so thats a ok idea euclid, but there needs to be smth so that mercs aren't underpowered.
