authfile report,0,

Status:
Accepted

I was thinking that if adding report,0, to a command in the authfile, it could report that to every player on the server, so this way everybody could know if an admi is trading credits, using killother or using tmpban/jail/shutup or editing an account.

hmm, i've seen problems back

hmm, i've seen problems back in FG there was an authfile that reported to itself that caused crashing.

So I'm not sure if this would be logical, possible I'm fairly sure it would be, but maybe not logical.

Aside that, idk but I really don't see a need for everyone on the server to see commands, thats just me,

either way, i'm neutral here, I won't use it, but maybe others like to have the server know their admin's move

This way I could make more

This way I could make more admins with basic controls like /shutup or /tmpban, and everybody would know who's doing what and could report them on the forum if they do something wrong.

Also this way I could control if an admin is giving credits to someone or editing an account. This should also be shown in the serverlog

Isn't report,0 already in use

Isn't report,0 already in use for "report to all admins"?
Anyway, I see no reason why this shouldn't be in.

Please could you make that

Please could you make that players don't know the admin username? Because that would cause some problems if somebody's got a weak password.

Rather than remove the

Rather than remove the username, swap it for the ID number.

No, I will not hack out

No, I will not hack out report to not show the username if sent to everyone. The username is used for public function anyway, and available in several other places in the mod.

But username is 1 of 2 to 3

But username is 1 of 2 to 3 pieces of information needed to log on to an account. That's why I've never liked it being easily accessible to non-admins.
